  21. "Terminators" have little to do with chains. They are needed to suppress
  22. distortions of high frequency signals. With SCSI this is necessary for
  23. reliable data transmission.

  25. With most monitors you have built-in termination with 75 Ohm which works
  26. fine with RG59 cable. Some VGA monitors also have terminators in or close
  27. to the connector to the graphics card.

  29. Professional monitors often have a switch to disable the 75Ohm termination
  30. (or come with no terminators at all). These monitors use 3 or 4 separate
  31. coax cables for the R,G,B and sync signals and you are supposed to add
  32. proper termination.

  34. With such a setup it is possible to put several monitors on a single cable
  35. and only the last one is terminated.
